St. Louis Science Center Field Trip

The GROW Exhibit

EXPLORE THE JOURNEY OF FOOD!

Dig Deeper as we take a look at the science of the most important element of our daily lives: Our food. Where does it come from? How does it grow? How far does it travel? And how can each of us make a difference so we can all eat? You'll find the answers to all these questions and so much more at this one-of-a-kind exhibit focusing in on the journey of food.

We each used an apple to show how much of the Earth's land is used to grow crops.

Using cereal was a great way to show different soil layers: bedrock, subsoil, top soil, and crop residue.

Such fun exploring the St. Louis Science Center!

A BIG thank you to all the parents who were able to join us!

Measurable Rain In Our Garden

We collected three inches of rain in our rain guage!
It was filled to the top and may have overflowed!
